Meh. DC has lost his touch in recent years. His last really great set was Live @ Shockers, Amsterdam, ID&T Radio in 2002. You know the one – it began with an acapella of Raphael Saddiq feat D’Angelo – ‘Be Here’. Nothing but boring bumpity bumpity Chicago loops nowadays…

Just goes to show how, even someone like DC, can polarize music fans. I think this is one of the best recorded sets I’ve heard from DC in years – on par with stuff like his 2002 (I think) Essential Mix. It’s got a nice uptempo groove all the way through it, some call it same ole’ boompty, I call it funky – either way I like it. Now, if I could only find out what the track he drops in at 27:50 is, I’d be all jolly!

omg is any of you actually know anything about mixing you would know that the shit he does on this mix in fukn amazing!!!!! the way he spins the record wild and then somehow ghets it back right on tempo???? cmon now people this has to be one of the best mixes EVER!!!!!!
