This was an exclusive mix for a while and now we’re sharing it with everybody. Do NOT sleep on this one kids, it’s Derrick Carter at his best. If you haven’t grabbed the other Derrick Carter mix be sure to search for it on the site and get it as well. Dj Sneak said it was one of his favorite Derrick Carter mixes PERIOD!

Genius at work.
#3 by Pete from Chicago at September 23rd, 2009
I thought that he sounded pretty bad for what I’ve heard from him in the past.
#4 by James at September 29th, 2009
Meh. DC has lost his touch in recent years. His last really great set was Live @ Shockers, Amsterdam, ID&T Radio in 2002. You know the one – it began with an acapella of Raphael Saddiq feat D’Angelo – ‘Be Here’. Nothing but boring bumpity bumpity Chicago loops nowadays…

Does anyone have a tracklist?
#6 by Rahim at October 26th, 2009
I like the sound for the most part but what language are the people speaking on (59:00 thru 01:08:00)?
Makes me want to look for more of his work.
#7 by Yiga at October 30th, 2009

#8 by Will at November 26th, 2009
Does Anyone know by chance what the tracks are ?? . thanks
#9 by Kohulan at February 12th, 2010
Just goes to show how, even someone like DC, can polarize music fans. I think this is one of the best recorded sets I’ve heard from DC in years – on par with stuff like his 2002 (I think) Essential Mix. It’s got a nice uptempo groove all the way through it, some call it same ole’ boompty, I call it funky – either way I like it. Now, if I could only find out what the track he drops in at 27:50 is, I’d be all jolly!

What can i say other than BRILLIANT!!! From beginning to end – ‘Ive got this feeling its in my feet foot stomping music and a funky beat’. Keep it Real Master of Disaster:-)

Nice beat; I love this kind of music. It reminds me of when I used to live in Atlanta. Keep up the good work; you’re very talented.
#24 by Quinn at May 30th, 2011
Thanks for the download capability — too often I’ve come across mixes that can only be streamed…

Carter is the king. I’m waiting for him to be unseated from his throne. I’ll collect his mixes forever…
#27 by Kate Williams at July 5th, 2011
After hearing this mix he might just be the king! Looks like I’ll be adding another artist to my “must listen to list”. Thanks

#30 by Kerry Enser at August 21st, 2011
I have to say, the only thing that would make it better would be seeing it live. It’s actually challenging for me to just listen to tracks like this without hearing it on huge speakers in a club…
#31 by JOHNSON at August 21st, 2011
first heard this about 2 years ago, and till this day i still get that “feeling” around 1 hour in…..ridunkulous!!
#32 by Bob Miller at September 4th, 2011
I’d love to hear this live too. This is ridiculously amazing!
